Solid Rock Baptist Church was established in 1982 with Rev. John Chambers
as pastor. God blessed the church and it grew. During his eight years as pastor,
the church built a new building. In 1990 he had to resign due to poor health
and Rev. Ray Woody became the pastor.

During his pastorate, the second mortgage was paid off and two new Sunday
School classes were added to the existing church. He resigned in 1992 and Rev.
Jerry Stines became our pastor.

The Lord has richly blessed the church under the leadership of Pastor Stines.
Since the beginning of his pastorate, we have seen souls saved and lives
changed. The church has grown in number from 18 members in 1992 to more
than 200 today. The Lord has blessed us with a brand new building that seats
450 people and a new fellowship hall. We are excited about what the Lord is
doing. Our goal is to reach out into the community and do a great work with
God leading the way.
History of Solid Rock Baptist Church
Statement of Faith

We are an Independent, Fundamental Missionary Baptist
Church. We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant,
authoritative Word of God, and that it has been preserved
for us today in the King James Version. Christ is exalted at
Solid Rock Baptist Church through the teaching of the
Scriptures, Godly music, and faithful ministry to the entire
family. At Solid Rock Baptist Church we strive to honor the
Name of Christ, strengthen believers in the faith, share the
Gospel with the lost, and stand for the truth.
